Baby Boy!

Well, we went to the doctor today and found out that we're having a BABY BOY! We're SO excited, now I just have to come up with some names... :) Here are a few of the pictures they gave us...
His cute little side profile   :)

His hands! It looks like he's giving us a "#1" with the left one, haha.

His foot... it's a whole inch long! :)

Proof that it's a boy! haha. I love the pointer arrow.

We're so excited for our little boy to get here! I just need to get my life organized before he comes!

zion...

Tyler and I decided to go to Zion last weekend with Jenn & Adam. I think I was 2 the last time I went, so it's been a while. It was a perfect day though. We packed enough food and water that if we had been stranded for 3 days we would have survived, so we were a little over prepared. We did the Emerald Pools hike, which (though there were about 20 kids under the age of 8 at the top) was pretty difficult at times (or maybe I'm just super out of shape). I've decided that since I will now inevitably be gaining about 30 pounds, I better start hiking and doing more physical activity which prior to this point amounted to zero. I actually love doing outdoor stuff, but unless I have someone else organizing it or some serious motivation I usually never get out to do it. So... I'm using me having a baby as my motivation. Me and Tyler decided we are going on AT LEAST one hike every month, which I plan on sticking to. I think next month will be Red Rock...

Here are some of the pics we took :)

This is at the top pool. There were a ton of people up there because it was a free day.
Tyler was taking all these pictures of cool tree branches randomly interrupting the sky.

So beautiful.... we're definitely making a return trip.

Operation cupcake...

I am in the strangest class this semester. It's called "Art in Public Places" and when I signed up I was pretty sure that I would be learning about things like the legal aspects of displaying art, and how you might propose an idea to a group or sponsor.
but no... that would make too much sense.
so INSTEAD of actually learning something HELPFUL this class has consisted of a professor who has absolutely lost his mind and wants US to take control of the situation.
...really great.
If this was just a normal class I could deal with an insane teacher, but it's not a normal class. There is no real grading system... no syllabus... not an ounce of organization. The first day of class he literally told us that he had "no idea what would happen this semester," and we would just have to "see how it turns out."
So our first assignment was to create some type of art piece to display at the Atomic Testing Museum for an art show, which is actually pretty cool but has been nearly impossible to organize.
Our group decided to make vintage advertising posters that are all oriented around a cupcake. We've named it "Operation Cupcake", because with the atomic bomb every explosion was named Operation "Something". We've already framed and hung the photos, so now we just have to get 50 actual cupcakes ready for opening night that all look like tiny mushroom clouds (with the help of Retro Bakery) and then make one GIANT cupcake mushroom cloud to serve as the centerpiece (still haven't started on this)
On top of all this craziness I was asked (after being told I hadn't contributed enough) to hand-paint all of the students names on a wall for the opening which took me 3 HOURS.
Never again will I take a class by Pasha Rafat.
Cool projects, INSANE teacher.

SO..... here are  the pictures we did. The show opens this Friday at 6 and goes til 9. I love picnik editing. :)

Not quite sure...

Well, I did it... I created a blog. What will I put on this blog? Not quite sure... BUT, I am sure it will be awesome once I get around to it. Prepare yourselves...
